Nigeria and Ukraine played out an exciting 2-2 draw in their international friendly in Dnipro on Tuesday night. Super Eagles threw a first half two-goal lead against the European side.
Very early in the game, Joe Aribo scored his debut goal in his first game for Nigeria in the fourth minute as he got to the end of a blistering counter-attack led by Bordeaux forward Samuel Kalu who found Alex Iwobi for the cross that Aribo dispatched. Lille striker, Victor Osimhen made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute from the penalty spot after the energetic Samuel Kalu was felled in the Ukrainian box.

The Ukrainians enjoyed more possession of the ball in the second half and that paid off as Oleksandr Zinchenko scored in the 76th minute as he went passed a static defence. Yaremchuk made it 2-2 with a dubious goal two minutes later straight from kick off after the goal. His arm struck the ball before it went in.
Despite throwing away a two-goal lead, Nigeria fans were happy with the performance of two Super Eagles players Joe Aribo and Francis Uzoho.
Aribo who was playing his first game for Nigeria had a great debut as he showcased his football talent which the fans were happy to see.

In Joe Aribo, Nigeria has finally found that No.10 replacement for Okocha. What we thought we had in Mikel. His b2b runs are tremendous. A new star is born!#UKRNGA #UKRNIG pic.twitter.com/WdAfqHg4RR

Nigerians, remember this name: Joe Aribo. Haven't seen a Super Eagles Midfielder as sleek and solid in a while. #UKRNGA

Iwobi is playing brilliantly today, thanks to Aribo.
The later is the kinda midfielder we need.
His link up play and partnership with Iwobi cannot be overemphasized. #UKRNGA

Super Eagles were robbed of 2 goals. Not a bad match for new midfield sensation Joe Aribo. #UKRNGA pic.twitter.com/AqQ12vk0ii

Uzoho who was back in goal for Gernot Rohr’s side after being maligned for some errors in the past produced two world-class saves to deny the hosts in the game and those moments didn’t go unnoticed by the fans.
Joe Aribo had a good game in the Super Eagles midfield.
– Victor Osimhen will score goals for Nigeria.
– Samuel Chukwueze is a starboy.
– Alex Iwobi and especially Samuel Kalu were impressive.
– Etebo is a MACHINE.
– Francis Uzoho was pretty decent in goal. #UKRNGA— LEXYTEE (@adeogun193) September 11, 2019

You would wonder why we didn't press and close up like this against Algeria.
Why wasn't Uzoho our first choice at Afcon? #UKRNGA #Nigeria— Onyeador dera (@donche_o) September 10, 2019
Uzoho is actually good
