Germany players have identified UEFA European Footballer of the year, Virgil Van Dijk as the main problem of the team ahead of their Euro qualifying match.
Germany go up against the Netherlands in a Euro 2020 qualifying match on Friday at the
Bayern Munich and Germany defender, Niklas Sule doesn’t fancy going up against the man-mountain, Virgil Van Dijk and admits that they have to pay special attention to him.
“I’ve played him a few times now he has an incredible physical presence.
I always had to cover him in the box when playing against him. That’s when I realized what a guy he is. I’m not exactly skinny either.
Germany striker, Serge Gnabry also echoed, Sule’s thoughts as he describes not only the defensive attribute but, Van Dijk’s offensive attributes.
“I think his statistics speak for themselves, that he is at the top. I would say that he is a brutal closet in that.
“If he’s standing next to you, the lights might go out!
“But we are full of confidence.”
