Man United boss reveals players that would play against Wolves

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that the same Manchester United players who were available for last weekend’s win over Chelsea should be available for Monday night Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

The Red Devils opened the 2019/20 Premier League campaign with a resounding 4-0 victory over Frank Lampard’s Blues last Sunday at Old Trafford, in which all three of the summer signings featured.

Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka played the whole 90 minutes in defence, while Daniel James came off the bench to score his first United goal.

Image result for man united vs chelseaSpeaking exclusively to MUTV’s Mark Sullivan at the Aon Training Complex on Friday morning, Ole said: “We’ve had a good week, good training week, a competitive week so hopefully we can have the same squad and people available unless something changes towards the end. There are still a few days until we play.”

After his interview with club media, the Manchester United boss was asked about Alexis Sanchez’s availability in his press conference. The Chilean wasn’t involved in pre-season after participating in the Copa America with his country Chile.

“He’s part of our squad and he’s a very, very good player,” Ole told reporters. “He’s just had a couple of weeks [of training], three weeks now, so he’s a few weeks behind the rest, but he’s very close to being part of it [the squad].”

Eric Bailly remains absent and is unlikely to return until around Christmas after having an operation on a knee injury sustained against Tottenham in pre-season. Meanwhile, fellow defender Tim Fosu-Mensah is still recovering from the knee ligament operation he had earlier in the year.

Manchester United will be hoping to improve on their performances at the Molineux last season where they lost twice to Nuno Espirito Santos’ men. The Red Devils currently lie second on the Premier League table and would hope to make it two wins out of two on Monday.
