Anglo-Nigerian forward, Bukayo Saka, was among the Arsenal players who took part in first team training ahead of the club’s Premier League clash against Sean Dyche’s Burnley at the Emirates Stadium this weekend.
Unai Emery and his side were in good spirits ahead of the game on Saturday, with Saka being joined by the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pepe and Alexandre Lacazette to take part in rondos before getting to work on tactics with the rest of the backroom staff.
Granit Xhaka, Hector Bellerin, Kieran Tierney and Dinos Mavropanos, who are all recovering from various degrees of injuries, were also spotted undergoing training at London Colney.
Defender, Rob Holding, who has been making progress in his bid to regain full fitness after spending half a year on the sidelines, also took part in training again.
The England international was joined by Arsenal’s other new signings, David Luiz and Gabriel Martinelli.
Egyptian midfielder, who has been subject of speculation linking him with an exit from the Emirates Stadium, was also part of the training session ahead of the Burnley tie.
Arsenal kicked off their 2019/20 Premier League campaign with a 1-0 win at Newcastle United while Burnley showed fine form to get a 3-0 win at home to Southampton last weekend.
Aubameyang scored the match winner in the second half to set the record for most goals in a player’s first 50 games for Arsenal in the Premier League, with the strike being his 33rd in the competition.
Both teams met on the final day of last season, with Arsenal coming away from Turf Moor with a 3-1 win, a game which turned out to be Nigeria international, Alex Iwobi’s final Premier League appearance for the Gunners.
