Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a blow on transfer deadline day after it was revealed that last-minute transfer target, Paulo Dybala, will not be joining the Premier League side after a proposed move to London broke down.
According to BBC Sport, the Juventus star who was also on the radar of Manchester United will not be joining Mauricio Pochettino’s side after the reigning Serie A champions decided not to sell the 25-year-old Argentina international.
Tottenham are now expected to focus on finishing proposed moves for Fulham star, Ryan Sessegnon, in a £25 million deal plus add-ons and Real Betis midfielder, Giovanni Lo Celso, in a move which could see the Argentine initially join on loan.
The Premier League side were reported to have reached an agreement with Real Betis for Lo Celso on Wednesday night, with the proposed deal including an option to sign for Spurs on a permanent basis at the end of the loan spell.
Midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has been the only new face at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer after completing a club-record £55.45 million plus up to £8.97 million in add-ons to join the 2019 Champions League finalists.
