The Super Eagles kit was a global hit after being officially unveiled in April 2018 by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and American sportswear manufacturing giants, Nike, and now a club in Tunisia has unveiled a kit in likeness of the Nigeria national team’s for the new season.
Etoile Olympique Sidi Bouzid which competes in the second tier of the Tunisian league previously filed out in a green-striped kit.
However, the Tunisian Ligue 2 team will now play matches in the new kit which bears striking similarities with that of the Super Eagles.
The front of Sidi Bouzid’s new kit carries same pattern as that of the Super Eagles home kit with the only difference being the manufacturer’s logo and team badge, while the back is a plain lemon green design unlike the Nigeria kit which maintains the front side’s design.
Nigeria’s male national team made use of the kit at the 2018 FIFA World Cup with other national teams also competing with the kit at various competitions including the 2019 Women’s World Cup and 2019 U-20 World Cup.
It remains to be seen how the NFF or Nike will react to the new kit unveiled by Etoile Olympique Sidi Bouzid.
