Man United make transfer moves to hijack £27m defender

Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Ryan Sessegnon’s representatives with a view to signing the Fulham ace during the current window.  The 19-year-old is expected to leave Craven Cottage this summer after Scott Parker’s side were relegated from the Premier League in 2018-19.
ImageSessegnon had played a key role in helping Fulham gain promotion from the Championship, but although he struggled with the upgrade in quality in the top flight, several clubs are still showing an interest in the versatile star.

And according to journalist Duncan Castles, United have approached Sessegnon’s agent to discuss a possible transfer deal – although Fulham will demand around £27million for one of their prized assets.

Castles, speaking on A Cast’s Transfer Window podcast, also revealed that Tottenham, Juventus, PSG and RB Leipzig are plotting swoops for the teenage star, who has one year left on his current deal at Craven Cottage.
ImageIndeed, Spurs were hotly tipped to land the England Under-21 youngster this week, although those rumours appear to have since died down.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been chasing young, homegrown talent during the summer market, with Welsh winger Daniel James and England starlet Aaron Wan-Bissaka the only two new arrivals at Old Trafford so far.
ImageBringing in Sessegnon would certainly fall in line with the club’s new transfer policy, while he would also give Solskjaer and a more natural left-back option than makeshift defender Ashley Young.  Sessegnon would be expected to compete with Luke Shaw for a starting place, with Young ready to cover both full-back slots.
