New Arsenal signing Dani Ceballos has revealed how Spanish compatriot, Hector Bellerin, convinced him to join him at the Premier League club ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Ceballos completed his season-long loan switch from Real Madrid to the Emirates Stadium on Thursday, and the 22-year-old Spain international told the Arsenal website how Bellerin said he should not hesitate coming to North London.

“I told Hector [Bellerin] I was thinking of joining [Arsenal] and he told me not to think twice because this is a great city and a great club,” Ceballos said on the club website.
Ceballos’ move to Arsenal has been confirmed just over 24 hours after the Gunners faced Real Madrid in a 2019 International Champions Cup match in Washington which ended in a 2-2 draw with the Spanish giants winning 3-2 on penalties.
Both players did not feature in the match played on Tuesday night, with Bellerin still recovering from injury while Ceballos was omitted from the Real Madrid squad as his loan move was nearing completion.
“Can’t wait for the link up,” Bellerin wrote simply in a post on social media after the deal was confirmed.
