According to Manchester City’s official website, Phil Foden joined up with the club’s squad in Hong Kong on Monday as he began preparations for the new season.
The midfielder was given a month off after competing at this summer’s UEFA Under 21 Championship.
Foden trained with the squad for the first time on this summer’s preseason tour on Tuesday and is in contention for a place in the side to face Kitchee Sports at the Hing Kong Stadium on Wednesday.
Foden, 19, played 26 times for City during the last campaign and he will look to cement a more permanent place in Pep Guardiola’s starting XI this term.
