The United player who is facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford amid links to Real Madrid was spotted happily catching up with Antonio Conte, the Inter coach, after United’s 1-0 win.

Pogba spent two years playing under the former Chelsea manager at Juventus and the pair were deep in conversation on the pitch.

After beginning his senior career with Manchester United, limited appearances persuaded Pogba to depart to join Italian side Juventus, who were being managed by Antonio Conte on a free transfer in 2012, where he helped the club to four consecutive Serie A titles, as well as two Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana titles.

During his time in Italy, Pogba further established himself as one of the most promising young players in the world, and received the Golden Boy award in 2013, followed by the Bravo Award in 2014.

Pogba’s performances at Juventus allowed him to return to Manchester United in 2016 for a then-world record transfer fee of €105 million (£89.3 million). The fee paid for him remains the highest paid by an English club. In his first season back, he won the League Cup and the Europa League.

Things went down south for Pogba at United with the French World Cup winner reportedly seeking a move away from the Premier League. He mentioned in an interview that he was looking for a new challenge away from the club and Real Madrid are interested in securing his services.

However, Pogba’s hopes of a dream move to Real Madrid appear to hinge heavily on the Spanish giants being able to offload high earners to free up cash to finance a bid that might tempt United to sell their £160 million rated midfielder.

Whether Pogba’s future at Old Trafford was raised, Conte was not for telling, but they did discuss the recent birth of the player’s baby son. “Paul’s highly regarded in my mind, we had a few words also because he’s recently had a child but the rest of what we said will remain between us,” Conte said.
