The Teranga Lions of Senegal have made two major changes in the team which will face Algeria’s Desert Foxes in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final showdown in Cairo on Friday night.
Senegal will be without key player, Kalidou Koulibaly, who is serving a one-match suspension after picking up a yellow card in the semi-final win over Tunisia last Sunday.
The booking was the Napoli defender’s second in the knock-out stages of the competition.
Koulibaly’s absence sees Schalke 04 defender, Salif Sane, make a return to the Senegal starting line-up for the first time since the West African nation’s opening match of the tournament.
Along with Koulibaly, midfielder Krepin Diatta is the other player head coach Aliou Cisse has axed from the starting line-up, with Ismaila Sarr replacing him.
For Algeria, it’s an unchanged side from head coach Djamel Belmadi, with Riyad Mahrez once again leading the charge as the Desert Foxes look to end the competition unbeaten and with the title.
