Three time African champions, the Super Eagles of Nigeria came from behind to defeat Cameroon 3-2 in a pulsating 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) round of 16 game played at the Alexandria Stadium on Saturday.The defending champions of the AFCON tournament went ahead during the first half following Christian N’jie and Stephane Bahoken quick-fire goals which cancelled out Ighalo early opener for Nigeria.
Nigeria however, would relent as Ighalo grabbed his brace and Alex Iwobi scored the winner just three minutes later to see the Super Eagles edge the Cameroonians into the the next round of the tournament.

The Super Eagles now face the winner of the game between South Africa and Egypt in the quarter finals next Wednesday.
