Solskjaer edge closer to completing £55million transfer to assist Ashley Young Man United’s defence

Several reports in England are suggesting that Manchester United are close to signing full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace for a whopping £55 million fee, with the 21 year-old set for a medical this week.

It was widely reported last week that United had agreed a deal to make the youngster the most expensive full-back in Premier League history.

Now, ‘Metro’ are reporting that the player is set for a medical as soon as this week, with United looking to rebuild after a disastrous campaign that saw them finish trophyless and without Champions League football.
The likes of team captain, Ashley Young, Eric Bailly, Diogo Dalot would have to fight for their place if Wan-Bissaka is to eventually make it to Old Trafford, after a bad season that saw the Red Devils ship in more goals this concluded season than they did in the previous season.

England are already out of the tournament ahead of their final group game with Croatia on Monday evening, and the squad is due to return to the UK after tonight’s game.
