Man United place offer for PSG midfielder and Tottenham defender, prepare to welcome summer targets

Manchester United have reportedly lodged a contract offer to sign Adrien Rabiot, who is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the month. United are also reportedly still keen on signing Kieran Trippier from Tottenham Hotspur, provided the north London side are willing to lower their asking price for the right-back.

The Frenchman has declined to sign a fresh deal with Les Parisiens beyond June and he is now expected to secure a Bosman move elsewhere. According to Le 10 Sport, United have made their move for the 24-year-old and they are prepared to offer him wages of around £170,000-a-week to seal a transfer to Old Trafford.

Nemanja Matic and Herrera have been the prime contenders for the position in recent seasons but Rabiot stands the chance of cementing the spot for the long-term with the former being inconsistent with his showing.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are in the market for a new right-sided defender this summer and Kieran Trippier has been earmarked as one of their prime targets for the transfer window. According to The Mirror, the Mancunian giants are interested in pursuing the England international this summer, but they are reluctant to make a formal offer unless Spurs reduce on their £30m price tag.

Otherwise, United are likely to pursue a young reinforcement this summer but reports indicate that they may look beyond Aaron Wan-Bissaka of Crystal Palace, considering his £45m valuation.
