Nigerian forward Victor Moses is wanted by Antonio Conte when he joins Inter Milan this summer. According to Sky Sports, the former Chelsea boss wants Moses in Italy as he prepares to take over at Inter next week.
Moses is currently on loan at Turkish side Fenerbahçe, from Premier League club Chelsea. He joined the Turkish side in the last January transfer window after failing to make Maurizio Sarri’s team.
He played at right wing-back under Conte when the Italian was coach of Chelsea.
Moses was part of Conte’s league title-winning side in 2017 and was consistent under the manager before he was dismissed in 2018.
Here is a fine goal the Nigerian scored during the 2016/17 season:
His has made 13 appearances for Fenerbahçe since his move, scoring three goals an providing 1 assist.
Moses’ loan deal with Fenerbahce expires at the end of next season, meaning that Inter would have to negotiate with the Turkish side in order to complete a transfer.
A move to Inter Milan would be a boost for Moses who has previously played for Liverpool. He has shown he is capable of playing for a top side and Inter would provide him the platform to get to the top.
The 2010 UEFA Champions League winners are currently fourth in Serie A, one point ahead of AC Milan, with a game to go this season. Should Inter finish in fourth, they will play Champions League qualifiers ahead of next season’s European competition.
They are on the back of a 4-1 loss to Napoli, but could return to winning ways when they face Empoli in their final game this weekend.
Meanwhile, Conte reportedly wants Man United striker Romelu Lukaku to join him at Inter when he is named manager.
The Manchester United striker has been linked with a move to Italy and has been quoted as saying he has a dream to play in the Serie A.
Speaking on Sky Italia, Lukaku said: “Playing in Serie A is a dream, it would be really a dream. I hope to be able to play sooner or later, even if at the moment I am focused on the United.”
Following the arrival Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Belgian has been played out of position, and this fact could make the former Chelsea star engineer a move away from Old Trafford.
Since Lukaku made his debut in English football, he has scored 113 Premier League goals, providing 35 assists. He did this in 252 games.
