Ole Gunnar Solsjaer make move to seal £75million transfers

Manchester United are ready to bin their efforts to sign Kalidou Koulibably this summer after Napoli refused to accept a penny less than £90m for the defender. The 27-year-old remains United’s top central defensive target this summer and it was reported on Tuesday that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were ready to make an £80m approach for the Senegal powerhouse.

But, according to the Independent, Napoli have responded by informing United that they have no need to sell and any deal for the centre-half will set them back a world-record defender fee of £90m, which together with his salary over a potential four-year deal would cost the club a figure in the region of £150m.

That would still represent a sizeable investment for United, but the package for the England man – if they can persuade the Foxes to do business – is seen by club bosses as less of a risk.
