Paris Saint-Germain have made an offer for Manchester United superstar David De Gea, who has refused to put pen to paper on a new deal at Old Trafford.
According to French journalist Geoffroy Garetier, the Ligue 1 giants have made their move for the Spain international.
Talking with Canal+, he stated: “Paris Saint-Germain are seeking a world-class goalkeeper now more than ever. The club have made an offer for David De Gea.”
It was revealed last week that the 28-year-old had just seven days to make a decision on his future with Manchester United and it is believed that PSG are willing to match his £350,000-a-week demand.
The Ligue 1 champions need to sign a new shot-stopper as they want to ditch Gianluigi Buffon after just one season.
Thomas Tuchel’s team could recall German No.1 Kevin Trapp following his successful loan spell at Eintracht Frankfurt.
David De Gea will remain their top target, but Spanish giants Real Madrid have also indicated their transfer interest.
Costa Rica stopper Keylor Navas has been offered to Manchester United as part of a player plus cash deal.
David De Gea is still Manchester United’s No.1, but he has made a series of high-profile errors in recent weeks, and the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League is expected to have a massive impact on his decision.
It will be interesting to see if the Red Devils will decide to let the Spaniard leave the Theatre of Dreams.
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku is set to feature at the center of bidding of war between Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is plotting a summer clear out and Romelu Lukaku who has netted 15 goals this term could be in his sights.
The former Chelsea hitman has hinted himself that he could seek to leave Manchester United and would like to play in Italy. The Ligue 1 giants are keen for the mis-firing Belgium international to replace Edinson Cavani and are keen on giving the Red Devils most of the £90 million they paid for him in 2017.
Romelu Lukaku has previously made clear he would one day love to play in Italy: “Playing in Serie A is a dream, it would be a dream,” he explained recently.
“I hope to be able to play sooner or later even if at the moment I am focused on United.”
Since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho, the former Everton frontman, who still has three years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford, has fallen down the pecking order behind academy graduate Marcus Rashford.
