According to report in All Nigeria Soccer, Turkish Super Lig side Chelsea are looking to sign former Nigeria international Victor Moses on a permanent deal, according to various reports in the Turkish press. Aspor.com.tr says The Yellow Canaries have made an initial bid of four million euros for the right winger and Chelsea are mulling over the offer from Turkey.
Moses was not in the plans of manager Maurizio Sarri at the start of the season and the Italian has to decide if he wants him at Stamford Bridge. The 28-year-old joined Fenerbache on loan in the January transfer window and has not done badly in his ten appearances across all competitions to date.
These performances have convinced the Istanbul club to explore the option of making the deal permanent, more than a year before the loan deal expires. Moses’s contract with Chelsea will run out at the end of the 2020-2021 season.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will sanction the sale of the Nigerian, as they have been banned by FIFA for signing new players for the next two transfer windows.
In the other news, Norwegian First Division club FK Jerv have officially announced the signing of Oslo-born Nigerian striker Chuma Anene. Midtjylland recalled the 25-year-old from a loan spell at Fredericia which was due to expire in June 2019 before loaning him out to FK Jerv. Anene began his career with the youth team of Holmlia before he was snapped up by capital outfit Valerenga in 2009.
His other clubs in Norway include Ullensaker/Kisa and Stabæk, and he has also had spells with Rabotnički Skopje (Macedonia), Amkar Perm (Russia) and Kairat (Kazakhstan).
A striker who can also play on the left and right wing, Anene has represented Norway at U16, U17, U19, U20 and U21 levels and is willing to play for the Super Eagles if approached by the Nigeria Football Federation. Anene appeared in 11 matches across all competitions for Fredericia.
