NATIONAL EMBARRASSMENT! NFF blunder overshadows Super Eagles victory few minutes after final whistle

The Nigeria Football Federation definitely know a thing or two on how to ruin a perfect moment. The Amaju Pinnick led body made no special reservations or plans for Super Eagles manager, Gernor Rohr and Journalists to hold a post match conference. In typical fashion after a National game there should be a press conference, Apparently the NFF made no provision of such for the National team.

The Super Eagles recorded an emphatic 3-1 home victory over the Pirates of Seychelles in the final AFCON 2019 Qualifiers. The Gernot Rohr side attained top spot of Group E in the dead rubber match up.

Irrespective of  the outcome of the other Group E encouter between Libya and South Africa in Sfax on Sunday, The Super Eagles maintained their status as Group E leader after garnering 13 points from six games.

Although the Super Eagles started the AFCON 2019 Qualifying campaign with a home loss against Bafana Bafana of South Africa in 2017, Gernot Rohr led the Eagles to the top of the Group.

Goals from Odion Ighalo, Henry Onyekuru and Moses Simon secured a deserved victory for the Super Eagles despite a Rody Melanie leveler three minutes from Halftime.

Debutant, Onyekuru and Super Sub Moses completed the rout in the Second half.

An unfortunate incident marred the victory as Journalists sustained injuries in a bid to get updates from the super eagles manager the full time.

Sports Journalist Victor Ekene revealed the tussle press man had to encounter to get a audience with the super eagles manager.

Due to the inability of the NFF to prepare an adequate location for the post match press conference, Journalist were forced to interview the Super Eagles manager by the pitch side.

A game in the magnitude of the CAF 2019 AFCON Qualifer deserves better attention and requires adequate planning. Clearly, The NFF thinks otherwise.
