Former Man city star gives big advice to Chelsea’s Hudson-Odoi amid Bayern Munich transfer

Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi has spoken to England team-mate Jadon Sancho about a move to Germany. The winger handed in a transfer request in January in a bid to force through a move to Bayern Munich but the German champions had a series of offers for Hudson-Odoi rejected in the January transfer window, with Chelsea still hoping the attacker can be convinced to extend a contract which expires in 2020.

Hudson-Odoi has less than 18 months left on his deal at Stamford Bridge and is yet to start a Premier League game for the club, despite being called up into the England squad. The 19-year-old is close friends with Sancho and and they both won the Under-17s World cup with England.

‘Me and Callum are close friends,’ said Sancho. ‘I have told him the Bundesliga is a nice league. I just told him to do whatever is best for him and whatever makes him feel comfortable.’

However, there has been no progress made in talks between Chelsea and Bayern Munich yet. The attacker has so far clocked up 24 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea in the current campaign.

Dortmund are believed to have joined Bayern Munich in the race to sign Hudson-Odoi, opening up the possibility that the winger could become a club team-mate of Sancho.

Sancho is a target for Manchester United but Dortmund are unlikely to sanction his sale this summer and know his value is only likely to increase further with another 12 months in Germany. Should Hudson-Odoi refuse to extend his contract in the summer, Chelsea may be forced to cash in on the winger.

Chelsea have a transfer ban hanging over them and at this moment in time would be unable to purchase a replacement, though Christian Pulisic arrives in the summer from Dortmund.
