Super Eagles player John Mikel Obi is said to have gotten a new destination, followings his departure from Chinese outfit Tianjin Teda

Mikel recently ended his contract with Tianjin Teda with one year of the agreement left, and according to Brilla, he might be remaining in China for the forthcoming season.

Brilla reports that the Mikel could be on his way to Beijing Sinobo Guoan as the Capital City club are thought to be monitoring his situation and could make a move for The Nigerian after the departure of Catalan midfielder Jonathan Soriano to Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia identifying the Super Eagle as the perfect replacement both in the heart of midfield and to fill their quota of foreign player designations in the CSL. The Super Eagles captain spent two seasons at Tianjin Teda,  giving three assists and scoring three goals from the defensive midfield position. Mikel started his career from Lyon Oslo before joining the blues following a rift between Manchester United and Chelsea. the Nigerian international spent a couple of years for the London side contributed to the team’s gameplay but had problems with his goal scoring form.

However, the Nigerian star is in doubts for the coming AFCON, and Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr is in talks alongside Victor Moses who is yet to give a reply concerning his reunion with the National team.
