A Nigeria lady took to her Twitter handle to share the story of a female commercial driver in Port Harcourt and how she had to help her load her bus after her male colleague refused to assist her.
Identified as Ibi Kontein, while sharing the story on her social media page, said she met the lady commercial bus driver who later shared her story of how she ventured into the business after her husband died, leaving behind 4 children.
Read her story below:
Bus was full!! I loaded complete! I should probably start looking at a different career path?. And oh, her name is Madam Cele. Short for Celestine. We talked all the way from Airforce junction to Oilmill. Plot twist, her husband is dead! Left her with 4 boys. Bus was his own.

She took some money from his burial money and went to driving school, then picked up from where he had left off. She doesn’t have a phone so I gave her my number. Anytime I see her again, I’m paying for everybody’s seat. Thunder fire stereotypical misogynistic cowards!

For everyone asking to donate, I just went back to the junction I met her. They all said the same thing; she doesn’t run during the day. So I’ve told everybody selling something there to tell her to call me immediately she comes. I must find her again.

Ibi if I buy phone, can you help me give madam Cele?
— Matthew Shelby (@sekewed) August 16, 2019
Please add money to the one I’ll give you. I don’t have a lot but I think phone is pretty necessary especially today. I just hope they don’t steal it. Anyone that wants to add money, abeg add.
