Nigerian Women Leap With Joy After Seeing An Escalator In A Mall (Video)

A hilarious video of some middle-aged women from the eastern part of Nigeria has caught the attention of many due to how they reacted after using the escalator (moving staircase) for the first time.

The old women who were giggling like little girls in excitement as they hailed the state governor, Dave Umahi for bringing such development to the state. In a video that has been making rounds since it was first shared on social media, depicting the women talking to themselves joyfully as they try riding on the escalator in a mall constructed by the governor. They were overcome with joy after stepping on the moving stairs which they see in movies. One of the women stood at the edge of the escalator and stared at it in awe and wonder.

In the video, it is evident that some of them revealed their fears about climbing the high structured staircase in the shopping mall which is designed to move people from one height to another and also lower them.

However, some of the women picked up courage and they climbed the escalator back and forth. When they have had their fill of ‘riding’ it, they all came down. Then, they started dancing, clapping and singing.Such ultra-modern facilities are very hard to find in the state where these women come from.
