If you want to save money and protect your hair by making your own shampoo, here are three recipes you should follow:

Coconut Milk Shampoo and Body Wash

You’ll need:

  • 1/2 cup of liquid castile soap
  • 1/3 cup homemade coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil

Simply mix all three ingredients together and pour in a plastic bottle. Your shampoo is ready for use! Choose a bottle that you can easily pour out shampoo from. The coconut milk will separate and settle so you’ll need to shake the bottle before each use for the ingredients to mix again. Your shampoo should last for two weeks but you can put it in the fridge if you want it to last longer.
