A huge snake was gunned down while struggling to swallow a goat. Some residents of the community took it upon themselves to kill a python for encroaching into their space last night in the Badagry area of Lagos.
According to instablog who shared the video, It was gathered that the huge reptile was spotted by a man in the neighbourhood who raised an alarm as residents gathered in their numbers to kill it. Watch video below;

According to reports, the residents have decided to butcher the python and share the meat among themselves. The quiet community of Badegry was thrown into a mini-tourist attraction as residents trooped in their numbers to catch a glimpse of a huge python that was gunned down while strangling a goat. A popular hunter had found the snake beside one of the residential areas trying to swallow a goat hovering around the community. Rising an alarm, he shot the snake and some men gathered to help kill the huge snake.
It was also learned that the python crawled out of its hideout in a nearby swampy area into one of the compounds where they rear livestocks. One of the residents, while speaking in Yoruba, revealed that while strangling the goat and trying to swallow it, it was unable to move, hence the reason, he was so fast to get his gun and shot it in the process. This happened late at night.
