Before You Criticize Laura Ikeji’s New Look, Here Are A Few Things To Know About Chin Enhancement

When it comes to professional cosmetic treatments available for facial feature enhancement what comes to most people’s minds is lip injections or nose jobs and the idea of getting a chin enhancement never crosses our minds. But experts say it should because it also helps the face look more attractive.

It’s nothing new that fashion entrepreneur, Laura Ikeji recently had a chin enhancement and according to her post a few days ago on social media, she informed her followers that she got a new chin. ” I bought a new chin,” she said in her post. This isn’t the first time Laura is going to her surgeon to improve her facial features; she was previously reported to have had a nose job.

After her post, there were various reactions on social media, but she never specified whether she had a surgical surgery; all she said was that she had got a new chin. There are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to chin enhancement since it can be done surgically or non-surgically.

The surgical process aims at improving the shape and appearance of the chin by placing an implant on your existing chin bone. These implants are made up of plastics or medical-grade silicone. These procedures give you permanent and dramatic results. However, the disadvantages include the use of anesthesia, high cost, long recovery period, and certain side effects. After all, this is a surgical procedure.

While Non-surgical chin augmentation is a non-invasive procedure in which injectable dermal fillers enhance the chin and make the profile more attractive. It is a quick and highly effective alternative to surgery and works best for people with average to moderate chins. The only downside of this option is that the results are temporary and last for about a year. But the results look completely natural and can be maintained with repeated sessions. It is also a pain-free procedure with minimal to no risk and swelling involved.

Based on Laura’s recovery rate and judging from the two procedures above, I believe there is a good chance she had a non-surgical procedure. However, if it was a non-surgical procedure, there are a few drawbacks to it.

1. The results of non-surgical chin augmentation are temporary. Therefore, you need repeat sessions at specific intervals to keep up the perfectly sculpted chin.

2. The results of non-invasive chin enhancement aren’t exactly customizable enough compared to those you get from surgery. For example, even though you will be given a handheld mirror during the procedure to see where the filler will be pushed, you cannot control the final look.
