As someone whose job is fashion and lifestyle believe it or not it is most times hard for me to be bothered about beauty. Beauty in the sense of makeup, this is something that I usually do without except on special occasion like when I am headed to an event however that doesn’t happen for me very often. This wasn’t the case when I first got into the media space but as time went on I limited my usage of makeup to kajal or eyeliner and mascara, sometimes I would dab a little highlighter just to give me that glow and shine. Lipstick which used to be my favourite thing next to mascara has been replaced with lip balms which I cannot do without and technically no one should be without. I guess half of the time am too tired and the other am to lazy or uninspired to do any makeup but somehowI have been inspired today.
While am the total opposite of what you might have thought there’s one thing I enjoy doing and that’s sharing idea’s and inspiring tips that I know is needed. In this case today even I needed this dose of inspiration. While I wear little to no makeup I have people around me that wear a lot of makeup and frankly I want to beat them because I am tired of shouting “This doesn’t fit”.
Working in lifestyle has had me learn skill’s that always come in handy one of them is knowing what looks are in vogue and which beauty pictures you should be inspired by. For this post I’v curated about 6 Pictures from our favourite celebs; Idia Aisen, Tiwa Savage, Michelle Dede, Toke Makinwa, Osas Ighodaro Ajibade and Annie Idibia. What all these women have in common is the choice of makeup they went for – EARTH TONED.
This happens to be my favourite makeup look and by default I almost always go with this tone.
What gives me the right first take a look at how Idia Aisen looks here, I mean this is how everyone should look like when they are wearing makeup, chic, glam and exciting.
