The Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo who made headlines over the past 24 hours for calling out an unnamed pastor who allegedly sxxually abuses women, shared an heart breaking message and told women who have been raped and abused that they deserve to heal and live a happy life.
According to Nairaland; the singer Timi Dakolo has shared the message he received from a young woman who claims she lost her virginity to her pastor on his Instagram page. Read the screenshot below;
”As much as i want to believe i am ok, the truth is i am Not, I’m still broken emotionally because i see this man living a happy life by deceiving people psychologically its playing a deep role in my life and relationship, the men that comes around end up saying i hate men, and they doubt they can spend their forever with someone like me.”
”The picture is still so fresh in my head like it was yesterday.. living with such a heavy heart and hatred in my heart has denied me alot. I am so not ok. The societal stigma that comes with a girl that has been through rape, the shame that comes alongside has shut my mouth but my heart bleeds for justice. Loosing my virginity to my pastor in such a brutal way breaks me daily.”
Timi dakolo went ahead to caption the photo with;
”Please read: I know there are a lot of broken, crushed and abuse women like this lady out there, their innocence stolen and their worth snatched, i promise you, you are not alone. You are worthy of Good things in this life.”
”It wasn’t your fault that you got raped and abused by a beast and a monster, you didn’t asked to be raped .I know you are bitter and feel God is a lie, no he isn’t. I may not be able to hide the scars or make them go away. I know most of you are terrified and afraid.”
”Then, you didn’t have anybody to help you speak your truth but you now have me and alot of people with Godly conscience. You deserve to heal and live a happy life. We already have people like you talking to experts helping them back into healing and self worth. you are not alone”
