EFCC has accused some friends of singer Naira Marley of releasing some propaganda videos in their “desperation” to launder his image.
It had been reported that the Federal High Court that presided in Lagos ordered that Naira Marley should be remanded in prison custody pending the hearing of his bail application.
The Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, had, on Monday, May 20 ordered Naira Marley to be in prison until May 30th when the hearing of his bail application will take place.
Few hours ago, a video recently surfaced online showing that the sensational rap star was able to fulfill his bail application.
The rapper was seen entering a vehicle and living police custody making fans believe he was released.
In the video, the rapper was smiling and celebrating his alleged release with his friends and family who came to pick him up. In another clip, he was seen sitting in a room with more people who fans believed waited for him to arrive and celebrate.

In a new development, it seems the embattled rapper is still in custody. According to the anti-graft agency in a new interview with SaharaReporters, they revealed that contrary to the viral videos showing the musician going into a private car, he is still very much remanded in Ikoyi prison.
Meanwhile earlier today, Tiwa Savage’s estranged husband, Teebillz had joined the rundown of individuals who have called out Ruggedman since the arrest of Naira Marley.
The talent manager cum music executive made his disappointments known on Monday, May 20, 2019, via his Instagram page. Teebillz prayed that Naira Marley can endure the hardship as he experiences his court charges. He at that point went after Ruggedman over his remarks on Naira Marley prior to his arrest.
“May the grace of God be sufficient for the needs of this talented young man during his trials…… we all make mistakes and my personal take is that most of this young guys don’t know better and I feel it’s our obligation as the older ones to put them right instead of just calling them out on social media for unnecessary validation! OG Rugged Man, I hope you can do that sh1t privately next time sir! I know you don’t want that smoke with me, bro, if you take my message the other way bros!” he wrote.
Teebillz’ statement is coming on the heels of Naira Marley’s arraignment before a court where he is being charged for Internet fraud.
Speaking of public figures who have voiced their opinion on Naira Marley’s EFCC case, Oritsefemi happens to be one of them.
The singer revealed that Yahoo Boys spend their money on themselves and never help struggling artistes in the entertainment industry.
He further revealed that none of his fraudster friends has ever assisted him financially despite the extravagant lifestyles they lead.
“How many artistes Yahoo Boy don buy car for?” he asked in an interview on HipTV.
“We can see politicians buying cars for artistes. Let’s call spade a spade. Yahoo boys are helping themselves, not other people.
“Artistes in the entertainment industry are struggling by themselves.
“Since I’ve known some of my yahoo friends, they’ve never helped me. If they can help me, I’ll agree.
“We see artistes struggling but yahoo boys are out enjoying themselves. If they can help the industry, I’ll be happy,” the ‘Double Wahala’ crooner said.
Oritsefemi’s comments come amid the public outcries about the increasing rate of internet fraudsters who give the country a bad name and image overseas.
