Although the two artistes don’t say it in clear terms, it is obvious there is a silent rivalry between Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage.
But Alade, who recently featured American artiste, Rick Ross, in the remix of her song, O My Gosh, gave the condition on which she could collaborate with Tiwa Savage to make a song.
She told Punch’s Sunday Scoop, “If it is the will of God (collaborating with Tiwa Savage). We, female artistes, are all doing great things and putting music out there. Being the biggest female artiste or not, I am very happy where I’m and I’m happy for other females in the industry.”
On the alleged beef between her and Tiwa Savage, she said the question was irrelevant, saying, “We are here for the music; so, let’s keep our focus on the music.”
Alade also stated that she was satisfied with her growth musically. She said, “I believe so much in growth and the process. When I saw an opportunity to collaborate with Rick Ross, I grabbed it. Working with him was an amazing experience; he is an inspiration. Despite my success, I still want to tour the world, reach out to new places and make more music.”
Saying she was not under any pressure to get married, she said she wouldn’t hide it from the public when it was time for marriage.
Meanwhile, exactly a month after taking to social media to support Victoria Kimani for shading and calling out Tiwa Savage, femcee Pryse has taken to social media to publicly apologize to Savage for said act.
The whole drama started when Lagos-based Kenyan singer, Victoria Kimani, joined the viral Challenge and dissed Savage in her #FvckYouChallenge entry. Many people called her out for the unprecedented diss, but the likes of Seyi Shay stood firmly beside Kimani, and later told fans that the then Mavin artiste hurt them badly.
“Ask yourself: what did [Tiwa Savage] do to these women for them to be expressing themselves like this,” said Seyi.
And later, Pryse revealed that Tiwa agreed to perform at a show on the condition that she’ll be the only female headliner.
Well, it seems Pryse now has a different view on the call-out after speaking to her mentor and Chocolate City boss M.I Abaga.
She took to her Twitter to apologize and also posted the tweet on her Instagram with the caption; “I had a talk with my mentor @mi_abaga yesterday that really made me think. I just wanna say I’m sorry @tiwasavage. I didn’t have enough info/evidence to make those allegations. Last last it was hearsay and I was wrong. Please forgive me. ?”
