Embattled American singer, R.Kelly, 52, who has been charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse against four alleged victims sat down with CBS This Morning‘s Gayle King for his first interview since his sexual assault charges. The interview is set to air Wednesday. Nigerian actress Uche Jombo reacted to the interview video, she wrote: “To obtain this level of being unbothered is a skill set period!”
In a teaser for the interview that will air in full over two days starting Wednesday on “CBS This Morning,” Kelly said allegations he slept with underage girls are not true and a product of “people,” whom he did not identify specifically in the released clip, “going back to my past.”
R. Kelly was distraught talking about the recent allegations against him and pleading for people to believe he’s innocent … shouting, “I’m fighting for my f***ing life!”
Kelly sat down with Gayle King Tuesday in his first interview since he was arrested on 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse. King presses Kelly on the recent allegations, and clearly hits a soft spot when asked if Kelly has ever held women against their will.
The singer explodes, looking directly into the camera and urging viewers to believe it’s all lies. Kelly points to his past — cases in which he’s been accused of inappropriate sexual acts — as proof he’d never commit a crime again, knowing all eyes were on him.
At one point, Kelly begins to sob, saying, “I’m fighting for my f***ing life!”

“They’re going back to the past and they trying to add all of this stuff now to that, to make all of the stuff that’s going on now [feel] real to people,” he tells Gayle King.
At one point, Kelly points to straight to the camera and says it would be stupid of him to hold girls against their will.
“Use your common sense. … Forget the blogs, forget how you feel about me. Hate me if you want to; love me if you want. But just use your common sense,” he says, raising his voice. “How stupid would it be for me … with my crazy past and what I’ve been through?”
Kelly then appeared to begin crying as he said: “I didn’t do this stuff. This is not me. I’m fighting for my f****** life.”
Last month, the singer was indicted on 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse a class 2 felony involving four alleged victims. If convicted, Kelly faces three to seven years in prison for each count.
