The talented actor, John Dumelo is married to Gifty Mawunya Nkornu, a Ghanaian lawyer based in the UK. Their wedding took place on the 12th of May 2018 year at Spintex in Accra. The ceremony was attended by several public figures like the former President of Ghana John Mahama and his colleagues like Ramsey Nouah, Nadia Buari, Yvonne Okoro, Majid Michel, Sandra Ankobiah, Jackie Appiah, Yvonne Nelson and Prince David Osei among others. Their marriage has been blessed with a baby boy and they have come out to celebrate in style.
Ghanaian actor John Dumelo and his wife Gifty Mawunya Nkornu have had an official ceremony to outdoor and name their son. The couple had their first child somewhere in October 2018 and had hinted that the little boy will be called John Junior. But as it is customary in many parts or Ghana, an outdooring ceremony had to be held to officially name the baby.
And it came off on Saturday, February 9, with the presence of many of Dumelo’s acting colleagues including Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, and Nadia Buari. One video has Dumelo and Gifty showing of their dance skills In what looked like a challenge between them. Wearing white outfits, the couple who looked sharp and exquisite were very happy and excited with themselves. In another video, Mrs Dumelo was spotted with some beautiful ladies including Nadia who is known to be Gifty’s very good friends.
The fine ladies had literally turned the event into a fashion show as they went on a catwalk challenge. Nadia who looked beautiful in her pink dress was just as excited as Dumelo’s wife who was the last person to hit the makeshift runway.

Although he had not been to any acting school, he had the passion and determination for acting. His passion for acting increased at the age of seven when the producers from the GAMA film company visited his school at Christ the king to find children who would be suitable for roles in the film ‘Baby thief’.
Luckily for him, he was selected and played one of the lead roles as SAKA. After high school, he went for small screen appearing on several Ghanaian television programs including Sun city and About to Wed. He came to the limelight when he was featured in a movie titled ‘The king is Mine’ where he played the role of a king in 2008. He has acted in over 80 movies with famous actors and actresses like Yvonne Nelson, Jackie Appiah, Majid Michel and so on.
