Ghanaian Actor, John Dumelo, has celebrated his birthday with Widows in Okponglo area of East Region of Ghana. The actor turned 35 today 3rd February, 2019. To mark his birthday he decided to visit the Widows and celebrated with them. He gave thanks to God for adding another year to his age.

John Dumelo as he is popularly known, is a Ghanaian actor who has become a household name due to his acting prowess. He began acting as a child in the early 90s in a movie called Baby Thief. He was nominated for categories Most Promising Actor and Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the 6th and 7th Africa Movie Academy Awards respectively.
The actor was born John Kofi Setor Dumelo to Antionette Dumelo and John Dumelo. He is the last and only boy of three children. He loves his family and is often seen spending some quality times with his parents, sisters and nieces.
The talented actor is married to Gifty Mawunya Nkornu, a Ghanaian lawyer based in the UK. Their wedding took place on the 12th of May 2018 year at Spintex in Accra. The ceremony was attended by several public figures like the former President of Ghana John Mahama and his colleagues like Ramsey Nouah, Nadia Buari, Yvonne Okoro, Majid Michel, Sandra Ankobiah, Jackie Appiah, Yvonne Nelson and Prince David Osei among others.
Although he had not been to any acting school, he had the passion and determination for acting. His passion for acting increased at the age of seven when the producers from the GAMA film company visited his school at Christ the king to find children who would be suitable for roles in the film ‘Baby thief’.
Apart from his charity works, John is a business minded movie star who is very ambitious and has a construction company and is also a shareholder in an IT firm. In 2016 John Dumelo made his desire to become the president of Ghana. Due to this, he joined the campaign team of one of the big political parties in Ghana (NDC). Talking about what he craved to do rather than acting, he wanted to be a gynecologist since he had the passion for helping women.
