Sanwo-Olu Hosts Popular Nigerian Celebrites, D’banj, Phyno, And Nollywood Actors (Photos)

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has played host to several celebrities who visited him to show their support for his ambition.Some of the celebrities from the music and movie industry who visited him include: D’banj, Phyno, King Sunny Ade, Jide Kosoko, Oga Bello, Clarence Peters and many more.

Sanwo-Olu shared the pictures of the visit on Twitter with the caption: “We will restore a lot of cultural sites in the state, rebrand a lot of existing festivals to international standards with better content & security. We will also work with the film industry to upgrade infrastructure & support creativity in our schools.#ForAGreaterLagos”

Nigerian entertainer D’banj has visited the governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2019 general election, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.The singer was accompanied by a U.S-based R&B singer Ari Lennox. During the visit, Sanwo-Olu was said to have acknowledged the role of entertainment in the economy and according to him, Nigerian entertainers had worked hard to gain global recognition.

He said, “We would continue to acknowledge the role entertainment plays in our economy. Our entertainers have worked very hard to be globally recognised and accepted.”The Lagos State police command yesterday said there was no iota of truth in the allegation that its officers were engaged in removing the campaign posters belonging to a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Spokesman of the command, Chike Oti, yesterday told newsmen that officers of the command have no business with partisan politics.

Oti said: “The attention of the authorities of the Nigeria Police, Lagos State Command, has been drawn to the news making the rounds on some social media platforms about a policeman caught pulling down Sanwo-Olu’s campaign posters and shooting sporadically in Ikorodu.

“The command wishes to inform the public that there is no truth in the allegation and for the records, it wishes to state that on September 27, at about 4:30p.m. at the Civil Service Model College, Ikorodu, one Oregbesan Yekini Owolabi, a worker of the aforementioned school, while acting on the instruction of the college Principal, one Reverend Ajose, to paste a “POST NO BILL” warnings on the school fence to prevent the defacing of the wall by advertisers.
