Yoruba actor, Lateef Adedimeji who is well known in the Yoruba movie industry for the ease in which tears gush out of his eyes in movies is from Ogun State and a Mass Communication graduate .He was born on Feb, 1 and the fourth born in a family of six. Lateef studied Mass Communication in Olabisi Onabanjo University. He was born in Oshodi but grew up in Jakande estate in Isolo where he attended primary and secondary school.
Later on, he joined an NGO Organisation, Community life project where he acquired the skills to act and write.He has been on stage since age 15 but started acting professionally in 2007. He produced one movie, OSEREGI in 2010. He also presents a talk show with orisun tv, Miliki express.He won City People Entertainment Award for Best Supporting Actor of the Year (Yoruba) in 2016 and was nominated for City People Entertainment Award for Most Promising Actor of the Year (Yoruba).
He is known for his intriguing roles in the yoruba movies such as as Ejika. He is the first born in a family of six.He grew up in Jakande estate in Isolo where he had his primary and secondary education. He started acting at the age of 15 but began professionally in 2007. Lateef Adedimeji has recived numerous awards including Best Supporting actor of the year at City People Entertainment awards (2006).
It would be recalled that Lateef Adedimeji once said, “From the kind of training Lateef received at the NGO, they were taught about 18 topics and all of these have actually been part of him. And it was actually the beginning of fame. And perhaps, fortune.The minute I had it in my head that I might blow, I started training myself on how to handle fame and package myself. I have always been told that whatsoever you do, be you famous or anything, you should affect lives and that has been my goal. So, more of what I do is to replicate the training from the NGO and blend into it. So I try to teach, make people see me the way I am and make people believe. You have to believe yourself before people can believe you. I try to make people understand that it goes beyond talent.
