Recently In a partnership with MCM Worldwide, British Vogue chats with Nigeria’s very own Tiwa Savage, describing her as “the woman at the forefront of the Afrobeats explosion, and whose hybrid musical sound is going global”. In the video, Tiwa shares the first record she ever bought, how she feels seeing women who are working mothers. She adds, “In everything I do – whether it’s using my native language, or an African beat – something is going to let you know that I’m an African woman.”

Tiwa Savage and her bea Tunji Balogun tied the knot a few weeks ago in Dubai. The couple exchanged their vows in an outdoor ceremony followed by a lavish reception and after-party at the Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa.Hip TV got exclusive rights to record and air the wedding. The wedding was well attended by Nigerian superstars including the mavin records crew led by Don’Jazzy, Eku Edewor, Toke Makinwa, Toolz, Dj Xclusive, Kaffy, N6, Designers Bridget Awosika, Toju Foyeh, Eme Boss, Banky W, Tunde Demuren, Seyi Shay, Lola Omotayo-Okoye among others.

Tiwa a.k.a ‘Marvin Record First Lady’, allegedly had a fight but they are yet to confirm nor deny the divorce issue. The embattled couple has not been together since their marital crisis in 2016; Teebillz made their marital issues public as he wanted to commit suicide by attempting to jump into the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
