2face Idibia slams 50 million naira lawsuit on former band mate, Blackface

Blackface Naija has for years been claiming his former bandmate 2Baba stole the song “African Queen” from him after their band Plantashun Boiz disbanded.Blackface. The feud between 2face Idibia and Blackface who are both former members of the defunct music group, Plantashun Boiz has taken a legal turn. Remember it all started as a social media rant a few years ago when Blackface came out ti say 2face Idibia stole some of his songs and refused to give him credit. It got messy and they’ve had to call each other out on social media on a couple of occassions.

Then in May 2017, legal counsel to 2face Idibia and his manager, Efe Omorege wrote a letter to Ahmedu Augustine aka Blackface, instructing him to apologise for all the dematory statements he has made against them over time or get sued within seven days of receiving the letter. had also claimed his former bandmate stole from him the song “Let Somebody Love You.” 2Baba had in May 2017 threatened to sue Blackface Naija for defamation of character if the latter doesn’t apologize and withdraw the “false and defamatory statements.” It seems more than a year later 2Baba is going forward with his threat.Blackface on his Instagram shared a photo of a Writ of Summons asking him to appear in court. He wrote:

Blackface has released the screenshot of his conversation with 2face Idibia over the use of his song.
On Thursday, November 9, 2017, the former member of the defunct Plantashun Boyz group posted on his Instagram page a screenshot of a chat he had with him back in 2014 when he confronted 2face over the use of his song ‘Let Somebody Love You’.

The song ‘Let Somebody Love You’ was released in 2014 off 2face Idibia’s album ‘The Ascension’.”Sometimes people push you to the wall and you have no choice but to fight back. This is one of my conversation some years back with @official2baba when I Asked him why did he record my song #Letsomebodyloveyou without my #permission and this was his reply saying he thought he told me but really he didn’t.. and why add your manager as a writer also? so you guys can steal my publishing money?”And when asked why you stole my song #Letsomebodyloveyou you Tuface said it wasn’t true and maybe my Twitter Account was hacked N after which you unfollowed me but I had this saved for many many years so you can see the level of lies you been feeding fans and people all along.
