The Oyo State Police Command has placed a self-acclaimed pastor under arrest. The self-acclaimed Man of God is said to have been arrested for luring his female victims to his hideout and then have forceful intercourse with them after stealing their belongings.

The suspect was paraded amongst 28 other suspects on Monday by the command, InsideOyo reports.

Mr Shina Olukolu, the Commissioner of Police in the State said the office of the Special Anti- Robbery Squad (SARS) got information about the suspect on Aug. 15.

According to Olukolu, the suspect was a specialist in luring unsuspecting female victims to his hideout at Awe town. He then goes on to have carnal knowledge of them forcefully.

The Police Commissioner further disclosed that the suspect will then go ahead to dispossess the victims of their properties as well as carry out “spiritual cleansing” for ritual purposes.

The suspect had some items recovered from him including a cell phone.

“One Infinix cell phone with which he took obscene pictures of his victims was recovered from him.

“He claimed to be the pastor of one Gospel Ministry Commission based in Bashi Quarters in Awe upon interrogation.

“His confessions led to the arrest of one of his accomplices, an alleged quack medical practitioner who performed an abortion on one of his victims,” Olukolu said.

Another suspected rapist was also paraded by the police. The suspected rapist had made visual recordings as well as taking obscene pictures of his sxxual activities with his victims to blackmail them.

A Mazda car and two jack knives were recovered from him according to Olukolu.
