Investigation: Police Visits Scene Where Officers Were Killed By Soldiers (PHOTOS)

Men of the investigative panel of the Nigerian Police – investigating the alleged shooting of three policemen by the officers of Nigerian military – have visited the scene of the incident in Taraba State.

The investigative team led by Deputy Commissioner Of Police, Abba Kyari, visited the exact point along Ibi – Wukari road, Taraba state.

Recall that on Wednesday, the force had raised alarm over the killing of its officers – who were escorting an arrested kidnap kingpin, Alhaji Hamisu to the force headquarters in Abuja – by soldiers of the 93 Battalion Takum.

The defence headquarters issued a response, in a statement, explaining its men had mistook the police officers as kidnappers.

The Nigerian police had since rejected their explanation and insisted on a thorough investigation.
