The funeral service for Mrs Funke Olakunrin, the daughter of Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, is currently happening at St. Davids Aglican Church in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Mrs Olakunrin lost her life following injuries sustained from gunshot wounds after she was shot by suspected Fulani herdsmen as was reported by THE PUNCH, around the Ore axis of Ondo State.

The police had however, in its report of the incident, blamed the attack on armed robbers.

This information by the police, elicited reactions from many as one of the survivors of the attack, revealed to the NIGERIAN TRIBUNE that the attackers were armed to the teeth and were not just ordinary robbers as their intention was to commit murder.

A few were also kidnapped by the assailants after they shot Mrs Olakunrin.

The murder of the 58-year-old business woman resulted in an outcry with many condemning the killings across the country.

Ondo State Governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu as well as his colleagues Prince Dapo Abiodun and Babjide Sanwo-Olu, governors of Ogun and Lagos States respectively were in attendance.
