A family was devastated recently after they lost their 9-year-old son to the cold hands of death. His Arabic Teacher Hashiru Bala in Jalingo, Taraba state capital allegedly strangled the innocent boy to death and has been arrested been arrested.

Blueprint gathered that the victim, Muhammad Suddas Umar Yola, is a son of a prominent Jalingo-based businessman. He got missing Sunday night when he went for Maghrib prayer in a Mosque located close to his father’s house.
When the boy did not return home after the prayers, a search effort was triggered for the missing boy. A friend of Suddas, it was gathered informed his parents how the Teacher had repeatedly asked of the victim as well as his brothers and sisters.
It was at this point that the Teacher was approached and asked if he had seen the boy. Members of the Family who spoke with Blueprint said initially, Hashiru denied ever seeing the victim, but when members of Directorate of State Security (DSS) were involved, he confessed that he was the one that strangled the boy to death.
It was gathered that Hashiru led DSS operatives to show where he dumped the lifeless body of the boy. The teacher also led the security operatives to arrest two other boys who were said to be between the ages of 19 and 20 years old, in connection with the murder of Suddas.
When contacted, the Taraba state police public relation officer, ASP David Misal, said he was not aware of the incident, but a senior state security officer, who didn’t want his name mentioned confirmed the incident.
