A middle age woman has been murdered by gunmen in Yenoagoa, Bayelsa State. the victim known as Glory Omo-Ohwo from Oreba/ Uhweru community in Delta State.According to Bight News, it was gathered that the deceased, a resident in Akenfa -I Epie Community, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, who was a fish seller, woke up at about 5am on Tuesday 29th January 2019, to smoke some of the fishes she had purchased to retail at the popular periodic Mbiama market.
But she got missing when her children woke up at dawn to found one of their mother’s slippers, with her whereabouts unknown. Her husband had travelled for outside menial jobs.
The woman’s lifeless body was later found this morning in an uncompleted building next to the compound she resides, with her skull badly damaged.
A neighbour said that the woman was a very quiet and hardworking house wife in their neighborhood. But alleged that she must have been raped before being killed by desperate miscreants she (deceased) identified.
It will be recalled Villagers of Amaba Isuikwuato in Abia state, were thrown into panic after bodies of three ladies were found along the Amaba – Ezere road in the region.
In a related development A 51-year old senior lecturer in the Department of Catering and Hotel Management, Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, Mr. Andrew Ogbuja, was thursday arraigned on a fresh charge at the Chief Magistrate Court 1 in Makurdi, for criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide.
The court equally remanded him in prison custody for alleged rape and persistent molestation of his 13-year old housemaid, Elizabeth Ochanya Ogbaje.When the case came up, the First Information Report (FIR), read to the accused ,said that on the October 22, 2018, the case was reported by one Evangelist Enuwa Soo of No2/4 Potter Avenue Otada, Otukpo Local Government Area (LGA), through a petition to the Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command.
According to the FIR, on June 23, 2018, the family of one Miss Elizabeth Ochanya Ogbanje of Agene Amen in Okpokwu LGA aged 13, noticed that one Andrew Ogbuja, a lecturer with Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo and his son, one Victor Ogbuja, has been criminally having unlawful carnal knowledge of her since she was living with them in their house, which resulted to her been diagnosed of having Vesico Vaginal Fistula (VVF) and other related deceases.
