Things have gone all wrong for a lecturer with the Bayelsa State College of Arts and Science who was allegedly caught raping a 6-year old girl in Yenagoa.

The 63-year-old Oyadonga who is also a member of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star was caught by residents who descended on him with serious punches and gave him beating of his life.

They tried to strip him naked right there in the public.

According to Mumeya Okpala, who is the eyewitness said he was later handed over to the police.

The sad event happened at Ken-kaiama street, Akenfa in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

Just last month,  a 48-year old married man, one Osei Maxwell, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he lured his neighbour’s 6-year old girl and engaged her in a sex romp.

Sources report that he was caught in the act and handed over to the police. The incident happened at Oke Idimu compound in Idimu area of Lagos where they reside.

Their neighbours who heard what happened wondered what would have led the married man to commit the alleged crime since he had a wife living with him.

Police source said that Maxwell lured the victim into his apartment, removed her pant and engaged her in a romp. However, their neighbour who suspected the victim’s movement raised alarm and forced Maxwell’s door open and rescued the victim.

It was gathered when the little girl was asked what she was doing with Maxwell and she revealed that he raped her. The parents reported the assault to the Ikotun Police Division; the suspect was arrested and detained at the station for investigation.

The police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates court for defilement. The offence was said to attract heavy punishment if the married man was tried and found guilty before the court.
