Tricky Tee’s childhood friend dies in road accident while allegedly being chased by the Shagamu police patrol van (graphic photos)

Richard Wetkos Dayon, a longtime friend of BBNaija star Tricky Tee, has died in a car crash while allegedly being chased by a police patrol van in Shagamu.

Richard, a Plateau State born aspiring musician and keyboardist, died on Sunday 27th September 2020 between the hours of 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Richard, who played a prominent role in campaigning for Tricky Tee while he was in the Big Brother Naija house, was reportedly heading home from an outing when the Shagamu police patrol van started chasing the motorcycle he boarded.

During the chase, Richard reportedly fell from the motorcycle and the police van coming behind at top speed crushed him along the Ogolonto BRT lane.

Tribunal sacks Popular APC lawmaker

A popular All Progressives Congress lawmaker representing Patigi State Constituency in Kwara State House of Assembly, Ahmed Rufai, has been sacked by the Election Petition Tribunal.

In a judgement on Monday, the tribunal sacked Rufai on three grounds of certificates forgery, inconsistency in names and age falsification, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.

The tribunal, therefore, declared the Peoples Democratic Party, PD, candidate, Sahihu Mohammed Yahaya, winner of the Patigi State Constituency Bye-Election held on March 14, 2020.

Four dead, 12 injured in Ogun fatal accident

At least, four persons have been confirmed dead in a fatal motor accident along Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun State.

12 persons were also said to have sustained serious injuries in the road crash that occurred around 2:40pm on Monday. The Ogun State State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE) Corps has confirmed the incident to DAILY POST, saying it happened at Isara bridge axis, inbound Ibadan.

Babatunde Akinbiyi, the Spokesman of TRACE, informed that the commercial bus marked, XC 330 WWD, loaded with 16 passengers including the driver, was on transit from Lagos to Ibadan, when the rear tyre had a burst due to over-speeding.

Fireboy DML’s ‘Party Scatter’ Makes FIFA 21 Soundtrack

Fireboy DML’s single “Party Scatter” has made the soundtrack for a football simulation game, FIFA 21.

“‘Scatter’ on @EASPORTSFIFA FIFA 21, get the soundtrack playlist on all DSPs game officially out on the 9th of October,” the singer tweeted on his handle, Monday.

The Nigerian is one of the few artists featured in the main soundtrack of FIFA 21 and is the first person from the West African country to achieve such feat for the game which is set to be launched on the 9th of October 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

EA Sports also confirmed it in a tweet on its handle on Monday, sharing a photo of other songs that made the soundtrack for FIFA 21.


“Party Scatter” has so far accumulated more than 30 million views in all streaming platforms.

Davido reacts to rumor that he slapped Rema during #BBNaija finale

Following Rema’s lengthy rant on Twitter today, a Twitter user, @manlikefola posted a tweet, alleging that Davido and his DMW crew bullied Rema and the singer even slapped him.

INEC begins migration to electronic voting

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced replacing manual voting with automated voting system.

INEC National Chairman, Yakubu Mahmood, disclosed this on Monday. He assured Commission has taken another decisive step towards the full automation of the electoral process. According to him, INEC has invited manufacturers of electronic voting machines around the world to practically demonstrate how the machines work, preparatory to full migration.

He said: “After extensive discussion and review, the Commission took the decision to invite original manufacturers of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) around the world for a virtual or practical demonstration of the machines.

Fani-Kayode debunks marrying fifth wife

Former minister of aviation and chieftain of the main opposition party in Nigeria, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has debunked reports that he’s planning on getting married to a fifth wife named Halima Yusuf.

Describing the reports as false, Fani-Kayode who is separated from his fourth wife, Precious Chikwendu, said that Halima “is simply a dear friend and confidante.”

The former minister advised those peddling the reports that he’s about to get married to her to “desist from doing so.”
