According to a post by Nigeria History and Facts on Twitter, Rashidi Yekini, is the only Nigerian footballer to have worn the number 9 jersey and scored at the FIFA World Cup tournament.
Bartholomew Ogbeche, Obafemi Martins, Emmanuel Emenike and Odion Ighalo have all won the number 9 jersey for Nigeria at various World Cups but have failed to find the back of the net at the Mundial.
Till date, only Rashidi Yekini has worn the number 9 jersey and scored for Nigeria at the FIFA World Cup tournament.
