Pastor who canceled couple’s wedding because they came late is dead
Nigerian pastor, Essa Ogorry who canceled a wedding because the couple were few minutes late to church has died on the same date his wife died.
Earlier this month, there was chaos in Port Harcourt church as members and wedding guests clash after the pastor refused to wed a couple because they arrived 5 minutes late to church.
Video of a devastated couple went viral after a pastor went to his office and declined to wed them at the came late to the church wedding.
The heartbroken bride was seen in the footage crying while the groom tries to console her outside the church building, as the pastor went in to his office while refusing to listen to the couple as they plea.
The church members were seen in the video defending the pastor while the wedding guests slammed the pastors.
Tributes are now pouring in for Essa Ogorry after his demise, and his church has released a video of him tagged: “Our cherished moments with Pastor Essa Ogorry.”
A member took to Facebook to claim the pastor was sick and came from Lagos to Port Harcourt for the wedding, which is why he was strict with the couple when they arrived late.

Insecurity: Another civil war, imminent – Prophet Ayodele warns Buhari
The leader of INRI Evangelical spiritual church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned President Muhammadu Buhari to seek divine help to end insecurity in the country or Nigeria will go into another civil war.
In a statement to DAILY POST on Wednesday, the prophet revealed that Nigeria is sitting on a time bomb as regards security, there is no safe place for anyone.
“President Buhari has failed Nigerians in terms of security, the president is incapable in terms of security, even the rich are affected and these are the things that will ruin APC to the last.
“Buhari should seek divine ways of handling security so that it will not lead to war and ethnicity crisis.”
Speaking further, Ayodele described the membership registration of the All Progressives Congress, APC as unnecessary because the country is currently facing lots of crises that need more urgent attention.
“The APC membership registration is not necessary, it makes no point, people are dying every day, they just kidnapped students in Niger, this whole thing is in the north. The north is killing themselves.
“Everywhere is polluted, we have bandits everywhere, Southwest and South-South must defend themselves now.
“I said in my 2021 prophecy that bandits will start attacking churches and mosques.
“Churches and mosques must defend themselves through serious fasting and prayers for the insecurity in our country.
“This insecurity will cause ethnic crisis and if care isn’t taken, it will cause a religious crisis.
“Everywhere is tensed, Let us restrategize, this thing will sack the Government of Buhari if care isn’t taken”
“Furthermore, Primate Ayodele revealed that he foresees serial death in the country.
“I foresee there will be serial deaths that will shock the country as a result of Banditry apart from kidnappings”

I Bought My Third Private Jet During COVID-19 Pandemic, Prayed For Disease To Stay— Apostle Suleman
The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has boasted about purchasing his third private jet during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a trending video seen by SaharaReporters on Wednesday, Suleman was heard saying he already had two jets but purchased a third one while people were busy complaining about the pandemic.
The cleric further stated that he was praying for the pandemic not to end because he was prospering and resting.
He said, “In COVID, I bought a jet. The third one. I have three. I was praying for COVID not to end because I was resting. While people were complaining, my wife asked, ‘Can life be this sweet?’. Am I talking to somebody here?.
“No stress. I read on the net that there’s a rumour going around that I have a machine that prints money. I like that rumour. They say, ‘He should be investigated. He has a machine that prints money.
“Somebody asked if it’s true and I said it is true. They said, ‘It’s risky o’. I said I didn’t know it’s risky because I already bought the machine. When you speak in tongues, you’re printing money.”
In recent weeks, Suleman has also been in the news after Mike Davids, a former cleric at his church, alleged that he slept with Faith Edeko, his wife.
In some videos posted on Instagram, the aggrieved pastor accused Suleman of sleeping with his wife and destroying his marriage.
He said trouble started when the 49-year-old cleric was planning to set up a gospel television station and had requested the assistance of his wife who was a broadcaster with NTA at the time.
He said it was during one of his wife’s visits to his place that the “clergyman slept with her”, explaining that his marriage has collapsed since then.
“Apostle Suleman has given her a branch of the church in Utako, Abuja to head without permission. I am calling on Pastor David Oyedepo, Pastor Paul Enenche, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Pastor Margaret Idahosa, CAN, PFN,” he said in one of the videos.
“Apostle Suleman has damaged my life. I have not seen my wife and children for two years and Apostle Suleman says if I ever go near them, he will have me taken out. I have a video where he said he will make me disappear. I don’t want to lose my life.”
Suleman has denied all the allegations, describing Davids as a bitter man.
Lagos police arrest man in connection with wife’s death
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested David Idibie in connection with the alleged murder of his wife, Juliana Idibie, 42.
The couple lives at Joado Street, Oke Ira Nla, Ajah Area of Lagos State.
The incident occurred on 16th February, 2021 at about 10pm.
According to a statement issued by Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Muyiwa Adejobi, it was gathered that the deceased had engaged the suspect in a hot argument on certain matrimonial issues and in the process, she slumped and sustained severe head injury.
While lying in her pool of blood, the angry husband was alleged to have refused to rescue her until she gave up the ghost.
“The police operatives attached to Langbasa Division, Ajah, who were informed of the ugly incident by a neighbour of the couple, raced to the scene, arrested the suspect and evacuated the corpse to the mortuary,” Adejobi said.
He added that the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, has condemned the act and vowed to work with other relevant government agencies and Non-Governmental bodies to tackle domestic violence to a standstill in the state.
Adejobi said the police boss has ordered that the matter be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, for proper investigation.
“While reiterating his zero tolerance for crimes and criminality, especially domestic violence, CP Hakeem Odumosu admonishes couples to always resolve their differences and conflicts with decorum and maturity as the law will not spear anyone who kills his or her spouse.

SARS tortured my brother to death, petitioner tells NHRC panel
A petitioner at the ongoing Independent Investigative Panel on allegations of human rights violations by the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and other units of the Nigerian Police on Wednesday in Abuja testified how her younger brother, Emmanuel Awulu was tortured to death in custody by officers of defunct SARS.
The petitioner, Joy Daniel, elder sister to the late Awulu, told the panel that Inspector Atuma Cletus and other SARS officers beat her brother beyond recognition and killed him at the SARS headquarters.
According to Mrs Daniel who was led by her counsel, Uche Uwazuruonye, the deceased, a poultry farmer, was arrested on 20th August 2019 by Insp Atuma at about 2.00am in Gwagwalada and was taken to SARS office in Abbatoir.
