Herdsmen Shoot Okada Rider, Kidnap Female Passenger
Suspected Fulani herdsmen have reportedly kidnapped one Mrs. Ajoke Ishola on her way to farm along Igbo-Ori, Yewa North Local Government area of Ogun State.
DAILY POST gathered that the incident happened around 11am on Monday, hours after four persons were killed at Agbon-Ojodu village in the same Yewa North.
Our correspondent learnt that the commercial motorcycle conveying Mrs. Ishola and one other woman was accosted by the suspected herdsmen, who were said to be armed with guns and machetes.
A son-in-law to the abducted woman, Engr Aremu Rafiu, confirmed the incident to DAILY POST on Monday.
According to Rafiu, “The herdsmen shot the okada rider that carried my mother-in-law and the other woman. The bullet could not affect the okada rider, maybe he has some powers.
“But my mother-in-law was taken away, while the other woman was butchered in the head. She is currently receiving treatment at Ayetoro hospital.”
Rafiu explained that operatives of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) have begun a search for the abducted women in the bush.

Monkeys Kill Eight Day Old Baby Girl
A mother is currently devastated after a group of monkeys stormed her home, snatched her eight-day-old baby and threw her in a moat.
The mum was shocked to find that her newborn twin girls were gone from their beds after a pack of primates invaded her home on Saturday.
Locals spotted the animals carrying the babies across rooftops –and managed to rescue one of the baby girls after she was left on a roof.
Tragically, the other baby girl was later recovered from a nearby moat and pronounced dead at the scene.

Medical Doctor, Dies In Ghastly Motor Accident Two Months To His Wedding
A medical doctor identified as Chidera Alexander Ifudu, has died in a motor accident two months to his wedding.
The accident involving his Lexus SUV occurred on Friday morning, February 12, along Port Harcourt/Aba Expressway.
Details of the accident are sketchy, however, it was gathered that he was trying to avoid hitting a pedestrian when his car veered off the road and crashed.

Man Arrested For Allegedly Stabbing His Wife Of 20 Years To Death On Suspicion Of Infidelity
Operatives of Ogun State Police Command have arrested 46-year-old Sobola Olatunji, pictured, a staff of Remo North Local government for allegedly stabbing his 38yrs old wife to death on mere suspicion of infidelity.
DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the spokesperson of the state police command who confirmed this to newsmen, said the suspect was arrested following a complaint by the father of the deceased, Alhaji Ambali Yinusa, who reported at Owode-Egba divisional headquarters that his son-in-law Sobola Olatunji had a misunderstanding with his wife, Momudat Sobola, which led to a physical fight between them. He further stated that in the process, Sobola Olatunji took a knife and stabbed his wife at the back.

Bullet Rips Off Teenager’s Testicles
The testicles of a 17-year-old boy was reportedly chopped off by bullets during the weekend after a locally made gun reportedly went off in his pocket.
It was gathered that the boy identified as Osaro hid the gun in his trousers before it went off as he was walking in in Ayen community of Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State.
The bullet reportedly ripped off his testicles and he died before help could come his way.

Court Sentences Couple To 40 Years Imprisonment Over N53m Fraud
A federal high court sitting in Ibadan has sentenced a couple to 40 years imprisonment each.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that Ebiesuwa Abayomi Fredrick and his wife, Tinuola Idayat Oyegunle were sentenced to 40 years imprisonment each by Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State today, February 15, 2021.
It was also learnt that the couple were found guilty on all four counts of conspiracy and obtaining by false pretence brought against them by the Ibadan Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Hausa/Yoruba clash: IGP Deploys Special Forces to Oyo
Special forces of the Nigerian police have been deployed to Oyo state following the bloodly clash between Yorubas and Hausas that claimed many lives.
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu ordered the immediate deployment of Police Intervention and Stabilization Forces to restore peace and reinforce security in Oyo State.
Recall that fights broke out in Shasha market in Ibadan between the Yoruba and Hausa communities following a disagreement between members of both tribes, leading to the death of many people.
