Governor Nasiru Ahmad El-Rufa’i of Kaduna state has urged for diligent investigation into the burning of pavilion in Zangon Kataf LGA of Kaduna state.

Malam El-Rufai condemned the burning of the pavilion arranged for a church conference in near a local monarch’s palace.

Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, said on Friday that the Government of Kaduna state received security report detailing the incident, which stated that a pavilion erected by the leadership of the ECWA Church ahead of its conference was set ablaze by unknown persons at a location near the Palace of the Agwatyap.

Pastor Adeboye Slams Silhouette Challenge

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has warned against online nudity just after #SilhouetteChallenge in which social media users dress down as they vibe to Paul Anka’s song “Put Your Head On My Shoulder”, took a prominent spot online.

In tweets the cleric shared, he told Christians that they are “quenching the spirit if they think viewing nude photos and videos on social media is okay”.

According to Pastor Adeboye, the little window one gives to the flesh strengthens it and makes people go back to those pictures/videos after that time. He backed this up with some bible passages and also warned Christians against quenching the spirit.

Man Remanded For Allegedly Raping 14-Year-Old Girl

An Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Court in Osun, on Friday, remanded a 44-year-old man, Kazeem Olapade, in Ilesa Correctional Centre for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Olapade is facing a three-count charge of assault, rape and unlawful sexual intercourse.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Magistrate, Dr Olusegun Ayilara, ordered the remand of the defendant in a correctional centre due to the magnitude of the offences alleged committed.

A Nigerian woman identified as Khadijat Kabir Ali Mai Katifa has died five days after her wedding.

Khadijat got married to Ibrahim Muhammad Dan Azumi, a staunch follower of Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Sunday, January 24, 2021, in Dutse area of Kano state.

According to her family, she died on Friday morning, January 29.

FG Contemplates Another Lockdown

The Federal Government has revealed that it is contemplating a lockdown in Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna and major cities in Nigeria due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases.

Lagos, Africa’s largest city of at least 20 million people, was grounded to a halt last year as it was lockdown to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

The National Incident Manager of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Dr Mukhtar Muhammad, made this known on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.

Young Nigerian Fraudster Sentenced to 5 Years In Prison

A Nigerian fraudster has been convicted by a court in Kaduna.

It was gathered that Anana Henry was sentenced to five years imprisonment for defrauding one Amadi Musah Saleh the sum of Fifty-five Thousand Naira in a phony investment scheme in Kaduna.

The convict allegedly convinced his victim via Facebook chat, to invest in an online investment plan called ‘Honour Investment Services’ with a promise of 100% returns on the investment within 24 hours.
